Allegations against TKL - Part II
Bryan Ti
Disclaimer: Please exercise your discretion in whether you want to believe what I will be saying since the info is from my sources and not publicly available.
"I once am a ex-income staff working in bras basah hq. Let me give some egs of TKL's tyrant acts. 1) staffs that has the same views with him gets promotion like rocket. If the staff is a pretty young women, she can get double promotions within a year. One such eg is the female manager from actuarial dept and also the female marketing manger."
... TKL spoke on his blog about such 'rumours' being made on the internet[1]
So BT contacted his source who works/worked at NTUC Income while TKL was CEO.
This person confirmed that there was a lady in the late 20s from the actuarial department who received a "double promotion" just a few years before TKL left Income. She rose from executive to senior executive, and then quickly to manager within at most 1.5 years.
The gossip-mill in Income was then working in full steam that TKL was "involved" in the promotion.
I asked him whether the second promotion could be due to a sudden departure of an existing manager. He said "no", the actuarial managerial post was "newly and specifically created" for the promotee.
TKL had responded on his blog: " I do not recall of any specific person in this category."
So I asked whether TKL could have forgotten about this case. His reply: "Of course not!"
However, my source does not recall the marketing manager case.
As for TKL's roof-top swimming habits, I am told that the lunch-time gossip is such that female employees were aware that he used the pool and as such they would be well advised to avoid it unless...... wink wink (I say no more!)
I will also not talk about TKL's karaoke singing habits during company functions.... in DUET!

"Some present and former employees of NTUC Income will probably have shivers down their spine if they hear their former boss wants to be the next President of Singapore.
If Tan Kin Lian runs without the support of his former employer, these employees will in all likelihood volunteer to help the candidates opposing him.
There are as many others, who will firmly stand by him, help his campaign and ensure he gets a good chance at being elected.
That is the kind of loyalty and reaction Tan Kin Lian attracts as a leader." - ex-NTUC Income legal staff [1]
....my analysis of this "leader" is this:
If TKL were indeed an excellent leader-cum-boss and had retired gracefully, almost all in his ex-organisation would have stepped forward enthusiastically to support his political endeavours, in this case, the EP contest.
If he was a reasonable boss who treated people fairly, maybe 50% of his ex-employees will come forward to support him, while the rest will remain apathetic and/or neutral.
But if he were one who was characteristically biased and often exercised favoritism towards a distinct group (who sucked up to him), it would be as what the blogger stated: most would volunteer to help his opponents while those had who cozied and in turn benefited personally from him will stand firmly by him as a form of gratitude.

========================================================
"Despite threats from Tan Kin Lian, I'm aware of an employee who brought up her complaint to the Minister for Manpower, the MOM Directors and NTUC Labour MPs. TKL demanded the complaint to be retracted.
This female employee had brought up complaints of management harasment against a TKL favoured manager - and they included complains about sexual advances. "[1]
....haha. The S-word has FINALLY surfaced!
Please note that I am not the first to bring it up. I had only previously winked (and winked).
I am not vouching for the veracity of this particular incident, although I did hear about complaints to MOM. But I predict that more stories about incidences of sexual indiscretions along Bras Basah will come up soon.
Mrs TKL's long-standing reservation about TKL's candidacy is going to come full circle. I have not confirmed whether Mrs TKL had forgiven him or all along been on his side.
PS. just because the S-word has reared its titillating head, I hope netizens coming to my FB don't get too excited or agitated.
